Tie-Downs & Retention Straps

Product code F21-AR

The part that stops a full can leaving its bracket. A holder without retention is a shelf, and a 20 litre can weighs over 20 kilos when full.

Quoted on enquiry

These depend on your order, your market or the certificate that covers your run, so we quote them rather than publish one figure that would be wrong for most buyers. Ask and you get the number for your specification.

  • Minimum order quantity

Before you order: Working load and retention method must suit the vehicle and the terrain. Confirm the mounting position before ordering.

Why It Is Built This Way

What makes this product different

01

Full cans are heavy

Twenty litres of fuel is over twenty kilos before the can. Under vibration and side load that mass finds any slack in a strap.

02

Sold with the holder, not instead of it

Retention is specified against a specific bracket. Generic straps are why cans arrive at the bottom of the load bed.

03

Serviceable

Webbing perishes in UV long before the bracket rusts. Sold separately so a fleet replaces straps rather than holders.

04

Lockable options

Where theft is the risk, over-centre latches take a padlock.

Compliance by market

What this product has to satisfy, market by market

The regimes that apply to this type of container in each market we ship to, with the detail behind each one a click away. This is what the market asks for; what this particular design already holds is in the specification above.

Orientation for specification, not legal advice, and not a statement that this design holds a given approval. Requirements turn on the exact design, contents and destination, and they change. Tell us the market at enquiry and we confirm what applies to your specification, what we hold and what we would need to obtain.

Questions, Answered

The things buyers ask before they order

What retention types are available?

Strap and buckle, ratchet, and over-centre latch kits, so you can match the hold to the vehicle and the ride.

Which holders do they fit?

They are tooled to the Fortitude21 holder range, so strap length and hardware suit our brackets. Confirm your holder before ordering if it is not one of ours.

What are the straps made from?

Webbing with steel or polymer hardware, and the hardware is finished to resist corrosion.

Are these sold instead of a holder or with it?

With it. The straps retain a can in its holder rather than replacing the bracket, so they are ordered alongside the mount.

Do you offer a lockable option?

Yes, lockable versions are available where a full can needs securing against theft as well as movement.

What working load do the straps carry?

The rated load is not listed here and is confirmed on the datasheet for the kit you choose. Working load and method both need to suit the terrain.

Can the hardware be serviced or replaced?

Yes, the kits are serviceable, so a worn strap or buckle can be swapped rather than scrapping the mount.

Can we brand the webbing?

Webbing colour and printed branding are available to specification on a private-label run. Ask at quotation.

What are the minimum order and lead time?

Both are quoted per order against your quantity and destination market.

Where are they made?

In Vietnam and China, managed from our Singapore desk.
