The part that stops a full can leaving its bracket. A holder without retention is a shelf, and a full 20 litre can weighs 18 to 23 kilos.

These depend on your order, your market or the certificate that covers your run, so we quote them for your specification on request.
Before you order: Working load and retention method must suit the vehicle and the terrain. Confirm the mounting position before ordering.
Twenty litres of fuel weighs about 15 to 17 kilos before the can, and nearer 20 with a steel can. Under vibration and side load that mass finds any slack in a strap.
Retention is specified against a specific bracket. Generic straps are why cans arrive at the bottom of the load bed.
Webbing perishes in UV long before the bracket rusts. Sold separately so a fleet replaces straps rather than holders.
Where theft is the risk, over-centre latches take a padlock.

Lock it into its mount. Choose the over-centre latch version of our retention kit: the latch takes a padlock, so a full can held in its holder is secured against theft as well as against movement. The kits are tooled to the Fortitude21 holder range and ordered alongside the mount. If your holder is not one of ours, confirm it with us before ordering.
