Quoted on enquiry

These depend on your order, your market or the certificate that covers your run, so we quote them rather than publish one figure that would be wrong for most buyers. Ask and you get the number for your specification.

  • Mounting provision
  • Dangerous goods marking
  • UN certification code
  • Minimum order quantity

Before you order: Fuel containers carry a dangerous goods certification regime that varies by destination market. Confirm requirements with us before importing.

Dimensions, material thickness, carton and container figures come from the current production specification. Empty weights are derived from the quoted net carton weight. Confirm against the drawing issued with your order.

Why It Is Built This Way

What makes this product different

01

Mounts on the machine

Horizontal geometry sits on a tractor, harvester or generator frame where an upright can has nowhere to go.

02

Low centre of gravity

A lying tank is harder to tip on rough ground than a tall one, which matters on field equipment.

03

Multi-fuel service

Specified for gasoline, diesel and kerosene, covering the mixed fuel reality of an agricultural operation.

04

Field-serviceable

Simple steel construction with no fragile fittings to fail a long way from a parts counter.

Manufacturing & Quality

How it is made, and how it is checked

Manufacturing

The body is pressed from cold-rolled steel to the pattern, seam-welded, then finished as set out in the specification above: internal coating, galvanising or powder coat according to what the can carries. Pressing runs across our Vietnam and China plants under one specification managed from Singapore, so the drawing and closure stay identical whichever plant fills the order.

Quality control

Every can is checked before it leaves the plant:

  • Leakproofness test — seams and closure checked under air pressure
  • Drop test — a filled can dropped to confirm it survives handling
  • Dimensional inspection against the drawing
  • Interior and finish inspection for coverage and defects
Compatible Liquids

What it holds, and what it does not

Suitable for

Gasoline, diesel, kerosene and JP-08 jet fuel

Not suitable for

Acids, alkalis, food and drinking water. The steel body is built for hydrocarbon fuels and oils, so water, food and aggressive chemicals need a different line.

Compliance by market

What this product has to satisfy, market by market

The regimes that apply to this type of container in each market we ship to, with the detail behind each one a click away. This is what the market asks for; what this particular design already holds is in the specification above.

Orientation for specification, not legal advice, and not a statement that this design holds a given approval. Requirements turn on the exact design, contents and destination, and they change. Tell us the market at enquiry and we confirm what applies to your specification, what we hold and what we would need to obtain.

Questions, Answered

The things buyers ask before they order

What can I carry in the Horizontal Agricultural Fuel Can?

The steel body is specified for gasoline, diesel, kerosene and JP-08 jet fuel. It is a hydrocarbon fuel can, not for AdBlue, drinking water, food or corrosive chemicals.

Why is this can horizontal?

The horizontal format mounts on machinery and sits with a low centre of gravity where an upright can will not fit, at 50.8 x 30.8 x 21.9 cm.

Is it UN marked for dangerous goods?

Steel fuel cans of this type certify to UN 3A1 by design and plant. Ask us for the certificate and test report for this design and your fuel.

What material is it, and how thick?

Galvanized steel in 0.8 mm sheet. The horizontal body carries hydrocarbon fuels and is field-serviceable.

Can I mount it permanently to a tractor or generator?

The format is built to mount on machinery. The can ships with a screw cap; for brackets and straps, see our holders and accessories range.

Does it need dangerous goods documentation to import?

Yes. Fuel containers carry a dangerous goods regime that varies by destination, so confirm the requirements for your market with us before importing.

Can we private-label it?

Yes. Steel is powder coated to a RAL colour, and we add your mark by laser etch or emboss. Confirm the finish at quotation.

What are your MOQ and lead time?

Both are quoted per order. Send us your volume and specification and we will confirm.

Which industries is this can built for?

It suits agriculture, forestry, construction plant, generator sets and groundscare, and it is a common OEM fit on equipment.

Is the steel recyclable, and does it permeate?

Steel does not permeate the way untreated plastic can, and the can is fully recyclable at end of life.
