These depend on your order, your market or the certificate that covers your run, so we quote them rather than publish one figure that would be wrong for most buyers. Ask and you get the number for your specification.

Why It Is Built This Way

What makes this product different

01

Lighter than pressed steel

The reason this line exists. Where a vehicle, aircraft or vessel is weight-constrained, aluminium buys back payload against a steel can of the same capacity.

02

Corrosion behaviour

Aluminium does not rust in the way bare or chipped steel does, which suits humid, coastal and marine storage.

03

Spout included

Supplied with a pouring spout so the distributor is not assembling a bundle from two suppliers.

04

Same mounting geometry

NATO-style profile shares carriers and racks with the steel and stainless lines.

Manufacturing & Quality

How it is made, and how it is checked

Manufacturing

The body is formed and welded in aluminium and supplied with its pouring spout. Aluminium holds the NATO profile at a lower filled weight, with no internal coating to chip. Production runs across our Vietnam and China plants under one specification managed from Singapore.

Quality control

Every can is checked before it leaves the plant:

  • Leakproofness test — seams and closure checked under air pressure
  • Drop test — a filled can dropped to confirm it survives handling
  • Dimensional inspection against the drawing
  • Interior and finish inspection for coverage and defects
Compliance by market

What this product has to satisfy, market by market

The regimes that apply to this type of container in each market we ship to, with the detail behind each one a click away. This is what the market asks for; what this particular design already holds is in the specification above.

Orientation for specification, not legal advice, and not a statement that this design holds a given approval. Requirements turn on the exact design, contents and destination, and they change. Tell us the market at enquiry and we confirm what applies to your specification, what we hold and what we would need to obtain.

Questions, Answered

The things buyers ask before they order

What does the 20L Aluminium NATO Can carry?

Aluminium cans suit light fuels where weight matters, and permitted contents depend on the interior specification and your market. Confirm the fuel with us before ordering and we will specify the right build.

Why choose aluminium over steel?

Weight. Aluminium is meaningfully lighter than pressed steel once payload is counted, which matters for expedition, marine and aviation ground support. It ships with a pouring spout.

Can I use it for drinking water?

No. Bare aluminium is not our food or water container; potable water is served by the AISI 304 stainless line. Tell us your intended liquid and we will direct you correctly.

Is it suitable for chemicals or acids?

No. Aluminium reacts with many acids and alkalis, so keep chemicals in our HDPE or fluorinated jerrycan range. This can is for approved fuels.

What does it weigh empty?

The empty weight for this line is confirmed on the datasheet at quotation. It is lighter than the equivalent pressed steel can, which is the reason to choose it.

Is it UN-certified for fuel transport?

Aluminium fuel cans carry their own dangerous goods approval that differs from the steel codes. Ask us for the certificate, test report and stamped marking for the specific design and destination.

Can we brand it and specify a finish?

Yes. It comes in mill finish or powder coated to your colour, and we can laser etch or emboss your mark. Private label is available.

Does it fit standard NATO mounts?

Yes. It keeps the NATO mounting geometry, so it seats in the same holders and racks as the steel cans. Confirm spout clearance when you mount it.

Can it be used for aviation ground support fuel?

It is specified into aviation ground support, but the permitted fuel depends on the interior specification. Tell us the exact fuel and destination and we will confirm suitability before you order.

What are the ordering terms?

MOQ, lead time and full dimensions are set on quotation. Manufacturing is in Vietnam and China, managed from our Singapore desk.
