Quoted on enquiry

These depend on your order, your market or the certificate that covers your run, so we quote them rather than publish one figure that would be wrong for most buyers. Ask and you get the number for your specification.

  • Intended contents
  • Dangerous goods marking
  • Minimum order quantity

Before you order: Specify intended contents at quotation. Interior specification and any dangerous goods marking differ between the fuel and water configurations.

Dimensions, material thickness, carton and container figures come from the current production specification. Empty weights are derived from the quoted net carton weight. Confirm against the drawing issued with your order.

Why It Is Built This Way

What makes this product different

01

Manageable filled weight

Twenty litres of fuel is about 15kg plus the can. Ten halves that, which matters for a wider range of end users.

02

Fits smaller vehicles

Motorcycles, ATVs, compact 4x4s and small boats where a full-size can will not mount.

03

Same visual family

Reads as part of the NATO range on a shelf, which helps a distributor merchandise the line together.

04

Retail-friendly price point

Lower unit price brings the format within reach of consumer retail rather than fleet-only.

Construction, specification and use

Manufacturing & Quality

How it is made, and how it is checked

Manufacturing

The body is pressed from cold-rolled steel to the pattern, seam-welded, then finished as set out in the specification above: internal coating, galvanising or powder coat according to what the can carries. Pressing runs across our Vietnam and China plants under one specification managed from Singapore, so the drawing and closure stay identical whichever plant fills the order.

Quality control

Every can is checked before it leaves the plant:

  • Leakproofness test — seams and closure checked under air pressure
  • Drop test — a filled can dropped to confirm it survives handling
  • Dimensional inspection against the drawing
  • Interior and finish inspection for coverage and defects
Compliance by market

What this product has to satisfy, market by market

The regimes that apply to this type of container in each market we ship to, with the detail behind each one a click away. This is what the market asks for; what this particular design already holds is in the specification above.

Orientation for specification, not legal advice, and not a statement that this design holds a given approval. Requirements turn on the exact design, contents and destination, and they change. Tell us the market at enquiry and we confirm what applies to your specification, what we hold and what we would need to obtain.

Questions, Answered

The things buyers ask before they order

What can the 10L NATO Steel Can hold?

It is built in both fuel and water configurations, and the interior specification is set at quotation. Tell us the intended contents and we will supply the right build.

Is it a fuel can or a water can?

Either. The interior lining and any dangerous goods marking differ between the two, so we confirm your use before production rather than assume it.

Can I store chemicals or acids in it?

No. This is a steel can for fuel or water service, not for chemicals. Acids and solvents belong in our HDPE or fluorinated range.

Is it safe for drinking water?

Only in the water configuration with the correct interior specification. If you need formal food-contact certification, we point you to the AISI 304 stainless water line.

What are its material and dimensions?

Pressed steel at 0.5 mm, external dimensions 34 by 16 by 26.5 cm, and empty weight about 1.8 kg. It is the half-height NATO pattern.

Why choose the 10 litre over the 20 litre?

Filled weight. Ten litres keeps the load manageable on a motorcycle, an ATV, a small boat or in an emergency kit, and it fits smaller vehicles.

Is it certified for dangerous goods?

That depends on the configuration. In fuel build, steel cans of this type are certified to UN 3A1 by design and plant, so ask us for the certificate and stamped marking for the exact can; the water build is not a dangerous good.

Can it carry our colour and branding?

Yes. It is powder coated to your specified colour, and we can laser etch or emboss your branding for retail or fleet programmes.

Does it fit standard holders?

It is the NATO pattern in a compact height, so it seats in NATO-pattern holders sized for the 10 litre can. Confirm holder height with us when you order.

What is the minimum order?

MOQ and lead time are quoted per order. It packs four to a carton and is made in Vietnam and China, managed from Singapore.
