How it is made, and how it is checked

Manufacturing

The body is pressed and welded in AISI 304 stainless steel, a food-contact grade chosen so the metal itself is the barrier and there is no lining to fail. Production runs across our Vietnam and China plants under one specification managed from Singapore.

Quality control

UN 3A1 certification is earned through a defined test regimen, and the can is built and verified to it:

  • Leakproofness test — seams and closure checked under air pressure
  • Internal pressure test — the body proven to its packing group
  • Drop test — a filled can dropped from the certified height
  • Stacking test — holds a warehouse stack load without distortion
  • Dimensional and finish inspection against the drawing

The things buyers ask before they order

Why choose the 25 or 30 litre over a 20 litre?

More range from the same rack footprint. The 25 and 30 litre share the 20 litre stance, so you carry more fuel per stop with fewer refills.

What can the galvanised version hold?

Galvanised steel is for hydrocarbon fuels: petrol, diesel and kerosene. Zinc reacts with acids and it is not food-safe, so chemicals and drinking water are out.

What does the stainless version add?

Stainless suits fuel and general fluids and skips the coating that can chip. It is not the food-grade water can; potable water is served by our AISI 304 stainless water line.

Can either version hold drinking water?

No. Neither is specified as our food-grade water can. For potable water and food-contact documentation, specify the AISI 304 stainless line instead.

Is a full one too heavy to lift?

Thirty litres of fuel plus the can exceeds safe one-person lifting in most jurisdictions. These are usually specified with a tap or a pump, and we can fit one.

What is the build and how big is it?

0.8 mm galvanised or 0.8 mm stainless steel, cross-embossed for strength, in the upright NATO pattern. External size is 36 by 25.5 by 38 cm at 25 litre and 36 by 25.5 by 43 cm at 30 litre.

Is it certified for dangerous goods?

The design is UN approved. Steel fuel cans of this type are certified to UN 3A1 by design and plant, so ask us for the certificate, the test report and the stamped marking for the exact size and material you order.

Can I sell these as portable fuel cans in the US?

US fuel containers up to 32 litres need a child-resistant closure and a flame arrester, plus EPA and CARB compliance for California. Tell us the market and we will confirm what applies and supply the components.

Can we specify colour and branding?

Yes. The galvanised body is powder coated to your RAL colour and the stainless runs bare, and either takes laser etching or embossing for private label.

How do they pack and order?

Four per carton, made in Vietnam and China and managed from Singapore. MOQ and lead time are set on quotation.
